Rowena joined Astrea as Chief Executive Officer in July 2020. She has
significant experience in leading high profile organisations across the public,
not-for-profit and private sectors. Before joining Astrea, Rowena was CEO at
David Ross Education Trust (DRET), and served as a Trustee at Reach2.
Rowena is a passionate advocate of building capacity within the sector,
supporting MAT reviews, providing input to nationally regarded executive
programmes, and mentoring a number of MAT CEOs.
Prior to joining the education
sector, Rowena was CEO of the Auckland Castle Trust, where she established and
ran a large regeneration project, as well as holding senior positions in local
government, higher education and the private sector.
