Martin is the Senior Education Adviser for NTA (National Teacher Accreditation). During his teaching career he was involved in a number of national geography curriculum development projects and co-authored a series of Key Stage 3 textbooks. After a short period as a lecturer in Education at Sheffield University, Martin moved on to Deputy Headship and Headship in schools in West Yorkshire. From 2015 to 2019 he was CEO for a multi-academy trust. Martin has been a member of several national education committees and has held a number of positions as a trustee. He is a former member of the Head Teacher Board for Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
