Appointed in 1998 to her first headship in a socially deprived school in "special measures”, Cathie was at the time the youngest headteacher in England and led the school to become "Good” in just four terms. 22 years later she retains her passion for enabling children to flourish in an environment of outstanding practice. Until February 2013 she was Executive Headteacher of three primary schools. One of these, Mount Street Academy judged as "Outstanding” became Lincolnshire’s first National Teaching School and Cathie the first primary National Leader of Education in Lincolnshire. Cathie’s vision is founded on the belief that school leadership at its heart, is about transforming children’s lives and she brings substantial experience of making this vision a reality. Cathie has been the Deputy Chief Executive of REAch2 Academy Trust since 2013, and was the first employee of the Trust. REAch2 is the largest Primary-only Trust, with 60 open academies across the UK.
