Caroline Whitty, the editor of Trust Journal, spent the first half of her working life in HR Management within the Food industry. For the last 13 years she has been working in education primarily within the academies sector. She initially worked on behalf of one of the early academy sponsors, managing the setup and build of 3 East Midlands based academies, and then fulfilled the role of Executive Director of the Independent Academy Association (IAA). She now works as part of the Leadership Group for CST and in addition to being the Editor of Trust she is also Executive Director of NTA – National Teacher Accreditation (formerly NIPT). Caroline has previously edited both Academy Magazine and MyAcademy Magazine. She is also an experienced school governor and sits on the local governing body of 2 academies giving her hands-on exposure to the current challenges within both primary and secondary education.
